Words spoken by a nine-year-old girl (Quinn Pesicka, Sioux Falls, SD) to her parents when she was about to lose her battle with cancer in 2015. We are very grateful to the Pesicka Family for allowing Jim’s Team 4 Diabetes Foundation the opportunity to carry on their daughter’s words and use as our special theme going forward that we will proudly stand behind!

We cannot think of a more fitting slogan to let our friends in the Diabetes Community know that our Foundation is here to stand by your side and be of help where possible. Whether your family is new to Diabetes like myself, or one that has lived many years with this disease ... know that “We Are In This Together, Forever!”

During my four seasons working for the Sioux Falls Storm Football Club, we got to know Quinn and her family and helped support her fight against cancer by raising $30,000 at one of our games in 2015. A year after Quinn’s passing, our team honored her memory with the creation of the Quinn Pesicka Memorial Scholarship program for sudents of all ages.
